I think like many of you, I've been jumping between many claude code/codex sessions at a time, managing multiple lines of work and worktrees in multiple repos. I wanted a way to easily manage multiple lines of work and reduce the amount of input I need to give, allowing the agents to remove me as a bottleneck from as much of the process as I can. So I built an orchestration tool for AI coding agents: Optio is an open-source orchestration system that turns tickets into merged pull requests using AI coding agents. You point it at your repos, and it handles the full lifecycle: - Intake — pull tasks from GitHub Issues, Linear, or create them manually - Execution — spin up isolated K8s pods per repo, run Claude Code or Codex in git worktrees - PR monitoring — watch CI checks, review status, and merge readiness every 30s - Self-healing — auto-resume the agent on CI failures, merge conflicts, or reviewer change requests - Completion — squash-merge the PR and close the linked issue The key idea is the feedback loop. Optio doesn't just run an agent and walk away — when CI breaks, it feeds the failure back to the agent. When a reviewer requests changes, the comments become the agent's next prompt. It keeps going until the PR merges or you tell it to stop. Built with Fastify, Next.js, BullMQ, and Drizzle on Postgres. Ships with a Helm chart for production deployment.

Hi all, I'm Peter at Staff Engineer and Mozilla.ai and I want to share our idea for a standard for shared agent learning, conceptually it seemed to fit easily in my mental model as a Stack Overflow for agents. The project is trying to see if we can get agents (any agent, any model) to propose 'knowledge units' (KUs) as a standard schema based on gotchas it runs into during use, and proactively query for existing KUs in order to get insights which it can verify and confirm if they prove useful. It's currently very much a PoC with a more lofty proposal in the repo, we're trying to iterate from local use, up to team level, and ideally eventually have some kind of public commons. At the team level (see our Docker compose example) and your coding agent configured to point to the API address for the team to send KUs there instead - where they can be reviewed by a human in the loop (HITL) via a UI in the browser, before they're allowed to appear in queries by other agents in your team. We're learning a lot even from using it locally on various repos internally, not just in the kind of KUs it generates, but also from a UX perspective on trying to make it easy to get using it and approving KUs in the browser dashboard. There are bigger, complex problems to solve in the future around data privacy, governance etc. but for now we're super focussed on getting something that people can see some value from really quickly in their day-to-day. Tech stack: * Skills - markdown * Local Python MCP server (FastMCP) - managing a local SQLite knowledge store * Optional team API (FastAPI, Docker) for sharing knowledge across an org * Installs as a Claude Code plugin or OpenCode MCP server * Local-first by default; your knowledge stays on your machine unless you opt into team sync by setting the address in config * OSS (Apache 2.0 licensed) Here's an example of something which seemed straight forward, when asking Claude Code to write a GitHub action it often used actions that were multiple major versions out of date because of its training data. In this case I told the agent what I saw when I reviewed the GitHub action YAML file it created and it proposed the knowledge unit to be persisted. Next time in a completely different repo using OpenCode and an OpenAI model, the cq skill was used up front before it started the task and it got the information about the gotcha on major versions in training data and checked GitHub proactively, using the correct, latest major versions. It then confirmed the KU, increasing the confidence score. I guess some folks might say: well there's a CLAUDE.md in your repo, or in ~/.claude/ but we're looking further than that, we want this to be available to all agents, to all models, and maybe more importantly we don't want to stuff AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md with loads of rules that lead to unpredictable behaviour, this is targetted information on a particular task and seems a lot more useful. Right now it can be installed locally as a plugin for Claude Code and OpenCode: claude plugin marketplace add mozilla-ai/cq claude plugin install cq This allows you to capture data in your local ~/.cq/local.db (the data doesn't get sent anywhere else). I go on a lot of backcountry trips where I barely get cell service. If my group splits, nobody knows knows where anyone is until you regroup at camp or at your destination. You can buy Garmin radios or try to set up an ATAK, but ATAK is Android-only and assumes you have a TAK Server running somewhere to make use of all of the functionality. Cool tools themselves, but expensive to set up correctly. I just wanted two iPhones to share their location directly over Bluetooth when cell coverage was lacking. Red Grid Link does that. Start a session, and anyone nearby running the app shows up on your offline map. When they walk out of range their marker stays as a "ghost" that slowly fades. The hard part was making sync reliable over BLE. The connections drop all the time. Someone turns a corner, walks behind a vehicle, whatever. I built a CRDT sync layer (LWW Register + G-Counter) so there's never merge conflicts. Each update is just under 200 bytes (from what I have tested so far). When a user/teammate disappears the app does exponential backoff from 2 to 30 seconds before giving up and marking them as a ghost. Everything is encrypted (AES-256-GCM, ECDH P-256 key exchange per peer pair). Sessions can require a PIN or QR code to join. It also offers offline topo maps with MGRS grid coordinates, same system as in my other app, Red Grid MGRS. The app is free, and I'm looking for some honest feedback from other real-world users. I built this as a personal finance app that allows me to see how my recurring incomes and expenses will affect my network over the years. So trackm can show up to 4 years in the future and track when your accounts will go negative given you expenses and incomes. I've been dogfooding it for the past 10 days, fixing issues I find from my day-to-day use and now it's at a point where I'm comfortable sharing it with others. The app is free for 30 days, after which it goes into read-only mode. Paying the one-time license fee unlocks it forever.

I have used this tool privately since 2011 to manage directory jumping. While it is conceptually similar to tools like z or zoxide, the underlying ranking model is different. It uses a power-law convolution with the time series of cd actions to calculate a history-aware "frecency" metric instead of the standard heuristic counters and multipliers. This approach moves away from point-estimates for recency. Most tools look only at the timestamp of the last visit, which can allow a "one-off" burst of activity to clobber long-term habits. By convolving a configurable history window (typically the last 1,000+ events), the score balances consistent habits against recent flukes. On performance: Despite the O(N) complexity of calculating decay for 1,000+ events, query time is ~20-30ms (Real Time) in ksh/bash, which is well below the threshold of perceived lag. I intentionally chose a Logical Path (pwd -L) model. Preserving symlink names ensures that the "Name" remains the primary searchable key. Resolving to physical paths often strips away the very keyword the user intends to use for searching.

One user has Promptless listening in to all their Slack Connect channels, so whenever they answer a customer question, Promptless figures out if their docs should be updated and drafts an update if so. Another user has Promptless processing every customer meeting transcript and updating their internal docs after each meeting: customer dashboards, feature request pages, etc. Some of the biggest things that are new with version 1.0: - Automatically updating screenshots: this was by far our most requested feature. The need here was always clear. People would exclude screenshots from docs because they’d get stale quickly, even though they knew screenshots would be helpful to users . A year ago, we just couldn't ship a good enough solution, but given how much LLMs' visual grounding has improved in the last year, now we've got something we're proud of. - Slop-free writing: The most common critique on early Promptless suggestions was that even though they were accurate, they could sound generic or verbose, or might just reek of AI slop. Promptless 1.0 is 3.5x better at this (measured by voice-alignment compared to what users actually published), through a combination of fine-tuned models, sub-agents, and alignment on user-defined preferences. - Open-source program: We're especially proud of this—Promptless is now free for CNCF/Linux Foundation projects (reach out if you’re a maintainer!). Howdy, Open Notes co-founder here! At Open Notes, we're building a system for community-driven constructive moderation and annotation that can be added to anything. Under the hood, we're using the open-source Twitter/X Community Notes algorithm (though that doesn't really kick in until you've got some scale). We're interested in providing everyone with tools for managing discourse that go beyond traditional moderation. Discord is the demo/reference integration, but we want it go anywhere and everywhere. Part of our thesis is that we want to get to where people are already talking rather than drag them to a clean and empty new room where we ask them to continue the conversation. It's interesting that Pol.is was just recently on HN ( https://ift.tt/AUVXHrZ ) because we're obviously inspired by them as well as the whole canon of social choice theory--we're just going at it from a different angle. It's long been true that if you wanted to trap me/yourself in a conversation, you could just bring up the Condorcet criterion (amongst others), so I'm finally turning an obsession into an actual product. We want to enable people to make decisions about conversations as close to the conversation as possible while minimizing impact on live threads. Later, this nicely extends into all sorts of group decisionmaking. As our conversations are increasingly awash in AI of all sorts (as moderators, participants, analysts, etc.), things that help manage the discourse to fit the needs of individual communities need to be scalable but without drowning human choice in an ocean of automation. Hey HN! This has been my project for a few years now. I recently brought it back to life after taking a pause to focus on my studies. My goal with this project is to separate fluff from science when shopping for supplements. I am doing this in 3 steps: 1.) I index every supplement on the market (extract each ingredient, normalize by quantity) 2.) I index every research paper on supplementation (rank every claim by effect type and effect size) 3.) I link data between supplements and research papers Earlier last year, I took pause on a project because I've ran into a few issues: Legal: Shady companies are sending C&Ds letters demanding their products are taken down from the website. It is not something I had the mental capacity to respond to while also going through my studies. Not coincidentally, these are usually brands with big marketing budgets and poor ingredients to price ratio. Technical: I started this project when the first LLMs came out. I've built extensive internal evals to understand how LLMs are performing. The hallucinations at the time were simply too frequent to passthrough this data to visitors. However, I recently re-ran my evals with Opus 4.5 and was very impressed. I am running out of scenarios that I can think/find where LLMs are bad at interpreting data. Business: I still haven't figured out how to monetize it or even who the target customer is. Despite these challenges, I decided to restart my journey. My mission is to bring transparency (science and price) to the supplement market. My goal is NOT to increase the use of supplements, but rather to help consumers make informed decisions. Often times, supplementation is not necessary or there are natural ways to supplement (that's my focus this quarter – better education about natural supplementation). Some things that are helping my cause – Bryan Johnson's journey has drawn a lot more attention to healthy supplementation (blueprint). Quick background: I used to code. Studied it in school, wrote some projects, but eventually convinced myself I wasn't cut out for it. Too slow, too many bugs, imposter syndrome — the usual story. So I pivoted, ended up as an investment associate at an early-stage angel fund, and haven't written real code in years. Fast forward to now. I'm a Buffett nerd — big believer in compound interest as a mental model for life. I run compound interest calculations constantly. Not because I need to, but because watching numbers grow over 30-40 years keeps me patient when markets get wild. It's basically meditation for long-term investors. The problem? Every compound interest calculator online is terrible. Ugly interfaces, ads covering half the screen, can't customize compounding frequency properly, no year-by-year breakdowns. I've tried so many. They all suck. When vibe coding started blowing up, something clicked. Maybe I could actually build the calculators I wanted? I don't have to be a "real developer" anymore — I just need to describe what I want clearly. So I tried it. Two weeks and ~$100（Opus 4.5 thinking model） in API costs later: I somehow have 60+ calculators. Started with compound interest, naturally. Then thought "well, while I'm here..." and added mortgage, loan amortization, savings goals, retirement projections. Then it spiraled — BMI calculator, timezone converter, regex tester. Oops. The AI (I'm using Claude via Windsurf) handled the grunt work beautifully. I'd describe exactly what I wanted — "compound interest calculator with monthly/quarterly/yearly options, year-by-year breakdown table, recurring contribution support" — and it delivered. With validation, nice components, even tests. What I realized: my years away from coding weren't wasted. I still understood architecture, I still knew what good UX looked like, I still had domain expertise (financial math). I just couldn't type it all out efficiently. AI filled that gap perfectly. Vibe coding didn't make me a 10x engineer. But it gave me permission to build again. Ideas I've had for years suddenly feel achievable. That's honestly the bigger win for me. Stack: Next.js, React, TailwindCSS, shadcn/ui, four languages (EN/DE/FR/JA). The AI picked most of this when I said "modern and clean." Site's live at https://calquio.com . They all suck. When vibe coding started blowing up, something clicked. Maybe I could actually build the calculators I wanted? I don't have to be a "real developer" anymore — I just need to describe what I want clearly. So I tried it. Two weeks and ~$100（Opus 4.5 thinking model） in API costs later: I somehow have 60+ calculators. Started with compound interest, naturally. Then thought "well, while I'm here..." and added mortgage, loan amortization, savings goals, retirement projections. Then it spiraled — BMI calculator, timezone converter, regex tester. Oops. The AI (I'm using Claude via Windsurf) handled the grunt work beautifully. I'd describe exactly what I wanted — "compound interest calculator with monthly/quarterly/yearly options, year-by-year breakdown table, recurring contribution support" — and it delivered. With validation, nice components, even tests. What I realized: my years away from coding weren't wasted. I still understood architecture, I still knew what good UX looked like, I still had domain expertise (financial math). I just couldn't type it all out efficiently. AI filled that gap perfectly. Vibe coding didn't make me a 10x engineer. But it gave me permission to build again. Ideas I've had for years suddenly feel achievable. That's honestly the bigger win for me. Stack: Next.js, React, TailwindCSS, shadcn/ui, four languages (EN/DE/FR/JA). The AI picked most of this when I said "modern and clean." Site's live at https://calquio.com . In classical computers you have semiconductor physics, electronic elements and voltage thresholds mapping to logical 1's and 0's. This is then used to build layers of abstractions. TLDR: Librario is a book metadata API that aggregates data from Google Books, ISBNDB, and Hardcover into a single response, solving the problem of no single source having complete book information. It's currently pre-alpha, AGPL-licensed, and available to try now[0]. My wife and I have a personal library with around 1,800 books. I started working on a library management tool for us, but I quickly realized I needed a source of data for book information, and none of the solutions available provided all the data I needed. One might provide the series, the other might provide genres, and another might provide a good cover, but none provided everything. So I started working on Librario, a book metadata aggregation API written in Go. It fetches information about books from multiple sources (Google Books, ISBNDB, Hardcover. Working on Goodreads and Anna's Archive next.), merges everything, and saves it all to a PostgreSQL database for future lookups. The idea is that the database gets stronger over time as more books are queried. This is pre-alpha and runs on a small VPS, so keep that in mind. I never hit the limits in the third-party services, so depending on how this post goes, I’ll or will not find out if the code handles that well. The merger is the heart of the service, and figuring out how to combine conflicting data from different sources was the hardest part. In the end I decided to use field-specific strategies which are quite naive, but work for now. Each extractor has a priority, and results are sorted by that priority before merging. But priority alone isn't enough, so different fields need different treatment. For example: - Titles use a scoring system. I penalize titles containing parentheses or brackets because sources sometimes shove subtitles into the main title field. Overly long titles (80+ chars) also get penalized since they often contain edition information or other metadata that belongs elsewhere. - Covers collect all candidate URLs, then a separate fetcher downloads and scores them by dimensions and quality. The best one gets stored locally and served from the server. For most other fields (publisher, language, page count), I just take the first non-empty value by priority. Simple, but it works. Recently added a caching layer[2] which sped things up nicely. I considered migrating from net/http to fiber at some point[3], but decided against it. Going outside the standard library felt wrong, and the migration didn't provide much in the end. The database layer is being rewritten before v1.0[4]. I'll be honest: the original schema was written by AI, and while I tried to guide it in the right direction with SQLC[5] and good documentation, database design isn't my strong suit and I couldn't confidently vouch for the code. Rather than ship something I don't fully understand, I hired the developers from SourceHut[6] to rewrite it properly. I've got a 5-month-old and we're still adjusting to their schedule, so development is slow.
